7-28-10 2 1/2 Weeks to my first Fall Show!

I have been spread thin with work and training and all that life demands as well as training and NAPS! Naps are just a way of life for me right now, no getting around it! On my good days i’ll just need a 35-40 min power nap, other I come home and am out for 2-3 hours!

I’ve really been training hard and heavy, and think I have some new “stuff” to show for it, this go round, which is exciting! I’m still not a big muscle builder, I’ll chalk that up to my genetics, but I am getting excited to see what happens come show time!

Today i’m 2 1/2 weeks from the Oklahoma  show and 4 1/2 weeks from the Bluffs show, and then planning KC then Chicago. I am feeling great about some things and not so great about my glutes conditioning. I’ve turned my cardio UP, both intensity and length and committed to that danged stairmill…glutes have gotta respond at some point! LOL!

I’m going to try and get some sort of progress shots up, but it may not be until the 8th of August, we shall see….

Circuits did begin for me yesterday and kicked my butt hard! I definately felt like after that i hit a wall and am still there, just VERY tired today and emotional. Part of the game, and I know that so, i’m rolling with it ok, but goodness, tick me right now and it’s UGLY!

I’m excited that my bestie, Jenni and I are doing these shows together and August 8th she’ll be here so we can go through a dry run for the show. I can’t wait to see her!!

That’s about the jist of it for now, and i’ll keep everyone posted!

    Re. the glutes taking a long time –

    During your “circuits” – have you tried single leg db deadlifts w/ shoulder press? Those are amazing for working that ham/glute area.
